ZUMBATHON® Charity
Event – another successful fundraiser by JCI Vernon!
JCI Vernon members range
between 19-40 years of age, and work together to achieve goals and contribute
to our community. Our mission is to provide development opportunities that
empower young people to create positive change. Through these opportunities we
strive to be the leading global network of young active citizens. The ZUMBATHON® Charity
Event hosted Friday, March 13th, 2015, is a prime example of the
kind of projects the JCI Vernon membership runs.
This particular project came
about in November of 2014, when the JCI Vernon Chapter was broken into 4 teams,
each team given $50, and told to grow it and give it back. The ZUMBATHON® Charity
Event is what our team (the JCI Vernon Fund Blazers) created, and what a great
success it was! With over 65 people in attendance, dancing up a storm, our
group was able to raise over $1600 for the Vernon Women’s Transition House and
JCI Vernon.

That seems like a blasting event. I am very happy to find these details. I also want to host a vintage themed charity event but I am not able to find any suitable event venues in Los Angeles. If you know about anyone, please let me know.
